Light gauge steel framings (LGSF) are metal products used as a building frame in the process of lightweight low-rise construction. Light gauge steel framings are roll-formed metal profiles which are joined together with bolts. Elements of different shapes are suited to each other, therefore such structures can be used to erect a building frame characterized by a light weight and high reliability within the shortest period of time. The walls of LGSF buildings can be heat insulated with any suitable material, such as boards or panels made of polystyrene foam or mineral wool. Interior surfaces are covered with gypsum board, while exterior walls are sheathed with decorative facing materials, such as siding, tiles, panels, battens, wooden boards, facing bricks or blocks.

LGSF buildings can be used as residential, amenity, commercial or industrial facilities. Metal structures are considered to be a cost-effective solution for adding attics, reconstructing shabby houses, and erecting ventilated heat-resistant facades.
